An Artistic video~ alt-J Breezeblcoks

I have chosen to write about the music video by alt-J  and the song is called Breezeblcoks. Ever since I watched the first couple of seconds I couldn't look away by how interesting it was filmed. My first impression when watching i thought that man who appeared in the video was the bad guy, because it looked like he killed the women in the tub. But since the video is in reverse you really need to pay attention to every detail and try to put all the pieces together to find out what really is going on. To me it was and still is one of my favourite videos to watch because you are expected to follow along, making it feel like a puzzle piece which I find to be nice. Both women in the video I think are supposed to represent the same woman. The man is fighting for his marriage, he attempts to save the wife he knows and loves (in the closet), but he feels like she is leaving “Please don’t go, I love you so”. The plot is basically about a man trying to keep his marriage but it isn't getting anywhere he would hope it would be.
Since the entire video it shows the man and women fighting the color in each scene has a  dark blue to it which can symbolise sadness. Even though the tone of the song is quite calming and doesn't have a fast pace, having the clips backwards plus making it have a bit of slow motion balances out the rage that the actors have while fighting. Which i think was a smart move because it doesn't get the viewer excited as someone would watch a fight happen, it has a type of calmness to it that makes it easy to watch.
The ending i think is great because it shows the water running which then has you remember that at the beginning of the video (which is technically the end) shows the woman the man was fighting with is supposedly dead in the tub  to represent how he won, but they also show a clip of him zoomed in resting his head on his hand which can symbolise him contemplating on whether or not it was worth it.
